About Robin
Robin has been a professional Music Director, Stage Director, Voice Teacher and Vocal Coach for over 25 years. Her repertoire ranges from Classical Opera to Broadway.
Prior to her musical theater experience, Robin started out in the opera world where she worked with such companies as Minnesota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Opera Iowa, and Orlando Opera, where she was Director of Education and Music for 10 years. During her tenure with the Orlando Opera Company, she was instrumental in the creation of the opera's education programs including the Resident Artist Program, the Opera Studio, and the Children's Opera Programs. In addition to performing their own operas and singing in main stage opera productions, the Children's Opera Chorus was featured in a Disney Christmas Special as well as the Broadway touring production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
In the theater world Robin has worked for MadCow Theatre, Lost Nation Theater, Florida Civic Theater and Madhatter’s Community Theater summer camp programs where she has been Artistic Director for over 8 years.
Robin has taught at Rollins College, Cornell University, Ithaca College, University of Vermont and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Robin received both her Bachelors in Music and Masters in Music in Piano Performance from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and continued her graduate work in opera and accompanying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
She is currently Director of Musical Studies for New School Preparatory in Orlando, Florida.
