Studio Classes
Actor’s Process Class
This class is for children ages 8 to 18 and focuses on developing the individual actor’s creativity and imagination. The class hones the skills and tools an actor will use on the stage.
Students will develop their self confidence and self assurance through creative improvisation and theater games. The class will also include developing audition techniques, cold readings, and scene study.
Performance Class
Singing, dancing and acting will be incorporated to create performances using children’s theater pieces and other mediums. It is here the students will practice what they have learned in the Actor’s Process Class.
Students will have a variety of opportunities to practice their rehearsal and performing skills. Students must be enrolled in the Actor’s Process Class to be considered for this class.
Private Lessons
Voice
For the singer, Robin helps develop a healthy singing technique that encourages open and free singing. It is important that each student have an understanding and awareness of the processes used to achieve open and free singing.
As a vocal coach, Robin opens up musical choices for the singer, as well as identifies and works through vocal entanglements dealing with words, tongue and body tension. She helps develop and hone the musical and dramatic skills that the singer uses to convey the meaning of the words.
Piano
Piano is one of the instruments that is fundamental in the development of any musician. Lessons are very individualized and focus on understanding the musical concepts needed to play.
The pianist will develop their musical skills, technique and sight reading skills so they can enjoy playing the piano and making music.
Workshops
High School Opera or Music Theater
This class is open to any singer ages 12 to 18, and is designed for the singer who needs a place to practice performing, auditioning or trying out new material. The class provides an accompanist and master teacher who will work with the students.
Adult Opera or Music Theater
This workshop is for the adult singer who is looking for a venue to practice their performing. To empower the singer, performance practices, Alexander Technique, and other topics may be discussed.
Students do not need to be a private student of Robin Jensen to attend Workshops.
